35mm T-MAX 400 Black and White Film

This series of 35mm black-and-white photographs is created in my grandmother’s house following her passing, using the space as a site to explore memory, presence, and loss. The work focuses on interiors, objects, and shifting natural light, attending to subtle details that continue to hold traces of her life. Grounded in stillness and duration, the images consider how absence can take on a physical form, becoming something that is both seen and felt. Sitting within these spaces is central to the process, allowing time for observation and reflection as memory surfaces through the everyday. By returning to the house with a camera, I engage with the ways memory is embedded in place. The series functions as an ongoing act of remembrance, where photographing becomes a method of processing grief while maintaining a sense of connection.
